Stephen W. Jackson has been an attorney since 2015. He joined the firm after spending four years as a deputy public defender at the Whatcom County Public Defender’s Office. He is licensed to practice law in Washington State.
Stephen’s time at the Public Defender’s Office gave him valuable experience working on every type of case imaginable.

Stephen graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a degree in Criminal Justice with a special emphasis on jury decision making. He is a graduate of the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. While in law school, he was an extern for the Honorable Judge Kent J. Dawson at the United States District Court – District of Nevada. He was also a legal clerk for the Federal Public Defender of Nevada.
Prior to going to law school, Stephen was a journalist, working for ABC News and CBS News in Las Vegas. He is a recipient of the prestigious Peabody Award for Excellence in Journalism, along with the Columbia-duPont Award and two Emmy Awards. Stephen now calls Bellingham home, along with his wife and daughter.
